Today is the day

Those who talk to us fairly regularly probably already know that Rob is going in for surgery this morning. In fact, by the time this post goes live, he will already be at the hospital and in the operating room. (I wrote this the night before since we had to be at the hospital at 5 a.m. this morning.) This day has been a long time coming, as he's had pretty bad infections in his sinuses and tonsils for more than a year now. The surgeon will be removing his tonsils, which apparently is not an easy surgery for adults. Complications are not uncommon. Luckily Rob is a healthy young man and extremely tough. Even so, I'm going to be in full husband pampering mode for the next few days. I've already stocked up on ice cream, pudding, Jello, apple sauce, and a bunch of other soft (and yeah... maybe sorta unhealthy) food options.

So, if everyone out there in Internet land can send us your positive vibes, I would definitely appreciate it. Here's to wishing Rob a quick and painless recovery!

Oh, and here's a goofy photo of him, just to make this post more interesting.

(I love you, husband.)
